ISO-BUTANOL
Iso-Butanol Product Data Sheet
Iso-Butanol (Iso-Butyl Alcohol), also known as 2-Methyl-1-Propanol is a colourless, flammable, organic compound with a characteristic sweet, musty smell that is used as a raw material in agchem formulations.
FEATURES:
Medium volatility.
Miscible with organic solvents such as glycols, ketones, alcohols, aldehydes, ethers and aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Limited miscibility with water.
Hydroxyl functionality.
Applications include use in floor polish formulations, paint solvents, varnish removers
and inks.
Relatively slow latent evaporating solvent in lacquers.
Small additions to certain paints reduces viscosity, improves brush flow and retards
the formation of oil residues.
Improves flow and gloss of nitrocellulose lacquers.

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL 100% (IPA)
Isopropyl Alcohol 100% (IPA) Product Data Sheet
Isopropyl Alcohol (also known as Isopropanol) is a non-potable alcohol, suitable for industrial cleaning and formulating where a waterless environment is desired. It is primarily used in the printing industry as a component in fountain solutions.

DEGREASERS
RECOSOL HIGH FLASH DEGREASER
Recosol High Flash Degreaser Product Data Sheet
Multi-purpose, high flash point solvent degreaser. The high flash point and moderate aromatic content of the solvent base makes Recosol High Flash Degreaser ideal for use in automotive workshops including parts cleaning, drilling rigs and mining equipment, marine applications such as engine degreasing and bilge and farm equipment cleaning.

DICHLOROBENZENE
P-DCB (PARA-DICHLOROBENZENE)
p-DCB is a white crystalline powder that can be perfumed and coloured for use as an air freshener or deodorant blocks for urinals.
FEATURES:
Contains 99% para-DICHLOROBENZENE (1,4-DICHLOROBENZENE).
The slow volatilising block reduces odours in urinals.
Used in industrial cleaning and institutional situations as well as in households.
Versatility – p-DCB is readily available and inexpensive. It is a suitable alternative to
other types of formulated products.

o-DCB is a liquid organic compound used primarily as a high boiling point solvent.

ETHANOLS
DAA INDUSTRIAL (IMS 100)
DAA Industrial (IMS 100) Product Data Sheet
DDA Industrial is also known as Denatured Absolute Alcohol and Industrial Methylated Spirits 100 (MS100). 100% denatured industrial ethanol widely used in the surface coatings, printing ink and foundry industries. DAA Industrial does not require an Australian Taxation Office (ATO) license to transact.
FEATURES:
A clear, colourless liquid miscible in water and hydrocarbon solvents.
A product for use in industrial cleaning formulations, coating reducer formulations and laboratory reagents.
DAA Industrial is conventionally used in many paint thinner formulations, flexographic
solvents and dye based inks. Also commonly used in steel foundries as a thinner for
foundry paint systems.
Versatility – DAA Industrial is readily available and inexpensive. It is often a suitable
alternative to Isopropyl Alcohol where solubility is not critical or can be assisted by
other formula components. As DAA Industrial is derived from fermentation ethanol, the
risks associated with human contact are minimised.

ALCOFLEX 100 HG
Alcoflex 100 HG Product Data Sheet
A high quality, non-potable ethanol, suitable for industrial cleaning where a waterless environment is desired. It is denatured with Isopropyl Alcohol rendering it ideal for printing, foundry and chemical formulators. Alcoflex 100 HG does not require an Australian Taxation Office (ATO) permit for purchase.
FEATURES:
Ethanol denatured with Isopropyl Alcohol 5%.

METHYLATED SPIRITS (IMS 95)
Methylated Spirits (IMS 95) Product Data Sheet
Methylated Spirits is also known as Industrial Methylated Spirits and IMS95. 95% industrial ethanol commonly used as a general purpose cleaner and a component of many chemical cleaning formulations. Methylated Spirits does not require an Australian Taxation Office (ATO) license to transact.

Commonly used in glass and tile cleaning.

GLYCOLS
RECOSOL TEG (TRIETHYLENE GLYCOL)
Recosol TEG (Triethylene Glycol) Product Data Sheet
Specialised glycol principally used in the oil and gas industries to remove water in natural gas reboiler systems and in Oilfield chemical formulations. It can also be used as a plasticiser for vinyl and composition cork or as an additive for hydraulic and brake fluids.
FEATURES:
Hydroscopicity – readily absorbs water from air and gas streams.
Low Volatility – can be reused in dehumidifying systems such as natural gas reboilers.
Non-regulated – not considered dangerous goods for storage and transport.
Recosol TEG is known for its hygroscopic quality and its ability to dehumidify fluids.
It is also soluble in ethanol, acetone, acetic acid, glycerine, pyridine, aldehydes, slightly
soluble in ether and insoluble in oil, fat and hydrocarbons.

Kerosene - Blue Product Data Sheet
Versatile blue hydrocarbon solvent designed for conventional kerosene heaters and suitable for use as a cleaning agent (degreaser) and surface cleanser.

Bitumen Cutter is a clear solvent that is designed to cut back bitumen without the use of heat. It is used in many applications where bitumen needs to be extended or cleaned from hard surfaces such as steel and concrete.

A medium flash point solvent that is compatible with all grades of conventional bitumen.
Does not require heat or other chemicals to function effectively.

MINERAL TURPENTINE
MINERAL TURPENTINE
Mineral Turpentine Product Data Sheet
Hydrocarbon solvent specifically designed for use in many paint formulations and associated thinners. Mineral Turpentine is one of the most widely used hydrocarbon solvents as it combines good solvency with controlled evaporation. Use Mineral Turpentine for thinning paints, linseed oil, waxes and polishes, metal cleaning and clean-up of brushes and equipment after painting.

RECOSOL 212 PROCESS OIL
Recosol 212 Process Oil Product Data Sheet
Low viscosity, highly refined petroleum fluid designed for use in the manufacturing industry. The high flash point, low odour and aromatic content renders Recosol 212 ideal for applications such as emulsion polymer manufacture, agricultural bases and the wetting of metallurgical fluxes.
FEATURES:
A clear, amber fluid with low sulphur and aromatic content.
A highly refined product with low reactivity.
A high flash point, low-toxicity product which is safer to use than kerosene based fluids.
Very low volatility ensures minimal evaporation loss.
Highly Refined – Recosol 212 will not oxidise readily as it is chemically inert to most
polymer raw materials and minerals. It does not decompose after heating to temperatures
below 100ºC.
Safety – Recosol 212 reduces fire risk due to its high flash point and is not regulated as
a schedule poison or dangerous good.

MOULD OIL 222
Mould Oil 222 Product Data Sheet
Medium viscosity, non-regulated mould release fluid which has proven effective in separating concrete from steel and plastic moulds and dyes. Mould Oil 222 can be used in many other release applications, however as mixtures can vary it is recommended that the fluid be trialled before long-term use.

Recosol 121 Product Data Sheet
Specialty hydrotreated, biodegradable paraffinic fluid designed for use in spark erosion machines, emulsion polymer formulations and lamp oil and rolling oil applications. Recosol 121 has approval to be used in the manufacture of packaging for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

A clear, water white fluid with low volatility.
Highly refined product with a low odour and reactivity.
Burns cleanly and is ideal for low odour lamp formulations.

A high flash point solvent that is not classified as a dangerous goods for transport but is combustible for storage.
Low odour.
Can be used as a parts solvent cleaner.
Versatility – Recosol 78 can be substituted for many traditional solvents in cleaning
formulations as well as sophisticated blends requiring a low aromatic content.
Solvency – Recosol 78 has a high solvency of greases, oils and general dirt without the
inherent capability to swell rubbers or plastics making it an appropriate electrical cleaner.

RECOESTER
A powerful, low odour, high flash point ester derived from naturally occurring c16-c18 fatty acids. As it is derived from natural oils and fats, RecoEster is classed as renewable and “readily biodegradable” by the US EPA (EPA 1982).
FEATURES:
Used as the base for renewable lubricants, degreasers, form oils, paint strippers and lamp oils – any formulations where a high flash point and renewability is required.
RecoEster is a high flash point solvent and is not classified as dangerous goods for
transport but is combustible for storage.
RecoEster combines powerful solvency with low odour and a very low evaporation rate.
Versatility – RecoEster may be substituted for many traditional hydrocarbon solvents
in cleaning formulations, as well as sophisticated blends requiring low aromatic content.

GINASUL 36468
Ginasul 36468 Product Data Sheet
Alpha Olefin Sulphonate (AOS liquid). A clear liquid typically used in liquid detergents and cleaners as a foaming agent. It is also used in wool scouring whereby it removes grease from coatings whilst preserving colour and texture.
FEATURES:
Easy to pour.
Readily biodegradable.
Can be used in hard and soft water.
Generates considerable foam and has a high foam stability.
Reduces the surface tension of water significantly in parts per million concentrations.
Used in leather processing as a cleaning agent and in the wet processing of textiles.
